苏州农民收入居长三角之首 

    The average income of farmers in the 16 cities of the Yangtze River Delta region grew at double-digit rates in 2009. In Suzhou, the average farmer’s income last year rose 10.2 percent to 12,969 yuan, the highest in the region. Other cities where an average farmer earned more than 12,000 yuan include Jiaxing, Ningbo, Shanghai and Zhoushan.
