Construction on drilling ship starts

Construction of the world’s largest deep-water oil drilling vessel started in Liaoning last week. The vessel will cost more than $500 million and will be the first deep-water drilling vessel built by China. Construction is expected to be completed in 2012. The vessel is slated to be able to drill to depths of over 30,000 feet and hold up to one million barrels of crude oil.
