    First, if the professor sits with students, the program will provide a chance for students to ask questions and understand their courses better. Normally, professors are quite busy and office hours do not allow enough time for all students to talk to the professor. 

    Another reason is that she is unfamiliar with the other students and so the table talk could help to enhance student relationships. Guests can communicate and share similar ideas and hobbies.
