    Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe turned 18 last month and gained the legal right to handle his own financial affairs. He promptly spent $4.3 million to purchase a luxurious apartment in New York. However, he plans to rent out the home rather than live there himself. The apartment is in an apartment building called 40 Mercer that was designed by noted architect Jean Nouvel. Mr. Radcliffe became the richest young man in Britain for his role as Harry Potter.
