    The sale of Xiamen’s first batch of government-subsidized apartments will begin on August 25. Apartments on the island of Xiamen and in surrounding mainland areas will be sold at an average price of 7,200 yuan and 5,200 yuan per square meter, respectively. In July, the average commercial housing price in Xiamen rose 18.2 percent year-on-year or 19.6 percent from June to 11,310 yuan per square meter.
