    A new superbug being brought into Britain by patients having surgery abroad could render antibiotics useless, researchers have warned. The new virus is resistant to almost all antibiotics and none of the variants in development are an effective counteragent. Scientists writing in the journal Lancet Infectious Diseases warned that the bug has an alarming potential to spread and diversify.
