    A Massachusetts doctor who examined an emphysema patient’s lungs for a tumor instead found a pea sprout. Ron Sveden was fortunate that it was the plant and not cancer growing in his left lung that had caused him to cough for months. A doctor noticed the pea plant after Mr. Sveden entered the hospital for treatment. Doctors removed the one-and-half-inch sprout and Mr. Sveden stopped coughing.
