    Shandong led all Chinese provinces in overseas investment during the first half of the year. Provincial firms invested $1.1 billion overseas, up 126 percent year-on-year. The Shandong government approved 180 Chinese enterprises to build businesses abroad, increasing 33 percent. At the same time, Shandong enterprises assigned 20,000 personnel abroad, an increase of three percent.
