Changyu Special Fine Brandy, spirit of China

Brandy has always meant nobility, the high life, the crème de la crème. Changyu Special Fine Brandy, up till now known only as Changyu Brandy, is one of Changyu's proudest creations, with a name which is known around the world.

Changyu was founded in 1892 and has worked ceaselessly on improving its production methods. Over the last century both the quality and quantity of its production have increased dramatically.

Today, Changyu Brandy is the biggest seller in China, with over 80% of the market. In February 2004, 21 experts from more than 10 different countries assembled as judges for the fifth China International Wine & Spirit Competition; after three days of blind tasting, Changyu XO Brandy was the only spirit selected for a special gold award.

张裕公司成立于1892年(清光绪十八年), 公司注重生产工艺, 使白兰地的品质不断提高. 近百年来, 张裕公司不断改进工艺, 其产量和质量均有很大的提高, 1952年被评为全国八大名酒之一.

目前, 张裕公司生产的白兰地在中国市场上独占鳌头, 占到全国总销量的80%以上. 2004年2月在北京举行的第五届中国国际葡萄酒烈酒评酒会上, 来自十几个国家的21位品酒专家经过三天的盲品, 最终张裕XO级白兰地成为惟一的烈酒类特别金奖获得者.
