Xiamen has been named on the list of "National Civil Cities" announced by the Central Civil Society Commission of the CPC. Xiamen's excellent social services, environment and administration all contributed to the winning of the title, which adds yet another honor to Xiamen's list of national and international level awards. The extraordinary changes in Xiamen's environment over the last 20 years, symbolized by the green city center area around the City Government building and Bailuzhou, have made Xiamen one of the most attractive places to live in China.
