September 20 saw the arrival of China's 17th National Oral Health Day, with free dental check-ups being offered to all passers by at the gate of Zhongshan Park. This year there is a particular focus on "Oral Health Care during Pregnancy". Recent studies have shown that a baby's oral health is greatly influenced by its mother's, which means that looking after a mother's teeth is crucial for both mother and baby; all the more so in China, where the incidence of tooth disease is relatively high.
