This summer be sure not to make any plans to go away on vacation, for the only trip you have to make is to the Marco Polo Xiamen with its exquisite Singapore Food Festival.

From August the 10th to 28th guests can immerse themselves in Singaporean culture without even having to leave Xiamen. To make the experience even more authentic, the Marco Polo Xiamen has invited four Singaporean chefs to cater for this event. Singapore is the food capital of Asia and it is no wonder that the phrase "eat to your heart's content" originated from that country. Singapore cooking includes a wide variety of cooking styles such as Chinese, Indian, Malay, Indonesian and Western.



At the festival's food stalls many dishes are being offered. You can try some barbequed Satay's with peanut or soy sauce, or indulge yourself in Char Kway Teow, mouthwatering fried noodles mixed with vegetables and the nutritious and delicious Fried Carrot Cake makes you want to come back for seconds. And why not have a taste of Laksa, a classic coconut-based Nonya soup dish. This dish is perhaps one of the most famous Singaporean dishes; it's a little bit spicy but well worth the risk. Hainanese Chicken Rice is a dish that originated in China, but the Singaporean version is considered by many to be more delicious than the original as the chicken is very tender with its taste blending in perfectly with the rice.



So, don't go through the hassle of travelling far, through typhoons and hot weather, instead, go to the Marco Polo Xiamen and celebrate your holiday Singaporean style.

So romantic as French men are, so is French menswear with its natural grace and casual style, which makes French men breath with a flavor of leisure and free-will. While Italian men are vigorous wearing clothes that are "gaudy and garish" head-to-toe, it is not an overstatement to say that French menswear is designed for leisure and Italian menswear for styles. However, speaking of more formal occasions such as social intercourse, commercial negotiations and so on, the best choice for men is German menswear, especially Hugo Boss, which is as well-knit as the German people are.

Nevertheless, with this spirit of strictness and meticulousness, Germans have undoubtedly become the only people who could design their artful menswear line of clothing.



Hugo Boss was founded by Mr. Hugo Boss in 1923 as a family-owned clothing factory, manufacturing worker's clothes, uniforms and raincoats. Thirty years passed before it made its first men's suit (1953) which eventually became the heart of its business. It wasn't until the early 1970s that the company recovered from early bankruptcy and began its transformation into a manufacturer of pricey and fashion-conscious men's power suits and sportswear, eventually going public in 1985.

Whether an item of clothing is good or bad does not depend on designers, but its quality and our feeling of comfort. Although Hugo Boss designs have us no surprises, with nothing amazing or shocking, its high quality means more to the commercial world which allows no carelessness.
