After several rehearsals and modifications, the musical "Amoy! Amoy!" (《榴莲飘香》)was finally performed for the public at the Xiamen Arts Theater on the evening of July 23. Telling how the Xiamenese left their homes and made a new life in Southeast Asian countries six hundred years ago, the musical overwhelmed the audience with its spectacular indigenous art and exotic customs.
