The First International Chorus Festival at Hukou on the Yellow River opened last Sunday. Four overseas chorus groups from Singapore, Malaysia and Australia, also participated in this grand festival. With the theme, "Chinese people sing the same song together with the spirit of the Yellow River," this festival is to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the victory of China's Anti-Japanese War and the 100th birthday of renowned musician, Xian Xinghai.
