Magic of coffee

Americans are the world's greatest coffee drinkers, followed by the Germans and the Scandinavians, as the drink has greater variety in their coffee shops.

Is it true that coffee is grown and enjoyed worldwide today? What about in China?

Known as one of the three most popular drinks in the world, coffee is popular with Chinese people. At the same time, coffee culture and coffee bars are booming in some developed coastal cities in China.

Since the early 1980s, Xiamen has started a new economic development era as business, foreign trade and the travel industry expands rapidly, while foreign cultures flock here at an incredible speed. With the number of foreign people increasing, the representation of foreign culture, such as coffee bars are becoming more developed. Now the quantity of Xiamen coffee bars is increasing exponentially, and many of them are famous foreign chain stores. Drinking coffee is becoming an even more popular and fashionable habit in Xiamen. Therefore the demand for coffee is rising in Xiamen and even in China's market.



Both coffee and tea have a long history in the world. For traditional Xiamen locals, tea has become part of their life since their birth. In contrast, there is a definite change in young people working in foreign-invested companies. Young people especially, are turning to coffee. The drink still has a pensioner image among young people but in recent years, increasing numbers of youths, especially those who bend their efforts to cultivate more western habits, have begun to talk about the coffee culture. Their coffee tastes have been changing towards the popular international styles- Espresso and Cappuccinos. To make a good cup of coffee, the technical requirements are very stringent which include the machine, grinder, blending of beans and the waiter.
