GIORGIO ARMANI



Giorgio Armani represents simplicity and maturity - the typical Armani style, which reminds us again of the debut of its brand new logo "GA". The new logo is strategically integrated into the design of their eyewear, which is perfectly combined to make it more consistent with the brand. In addition, the new logo is presented using various media, including natural pearl and Swarovski crystal.



EMPORIO ARMANI



As an Armani brand for the youth, Emporio Armani always brings jauntiness and urbanity into life of its target customers. In order to manifest its theme of volition, its designs are overwhelmed by juvenescence and a youthful spirit, focusing on enchanting colors. Redefining "urban charm", these designs adopt new materials which bring out color gradation as well as the contrastive effect between inside and outside. Its logo of a flying eagle, the symbol of youthfulness, is creatively reduced and studded on the arms of the eyewear by using hi-tech techniques.



GUCCI



Gucci eyewear is more appealing for this season. Shown by various means, the classical logo- the double G flower pattern joins hands on its specially cut eyeglasses, becoming the stroke of genius and unfolding magnificence. Moreover, the lush Swarovski crystal and the excelsior design of the lines help people who put on Dior's eyewear shine. Some glasses have big Swarovski crystals which beam like stars in the dark blue sky. On the other hand, metallic sunglasses are designed scrupulously and deliberately. The crystals shine gleaming, whilst creating a brand new sense of luxury which goes beyond both the optic experience and imagination.

If you love traveling, you may eventually find a place that you feel you have been seeking for a long time and you would like to live there forever. Lijiang, an ancient town deep in the far north-west of China's Yunnan Province, has such a place deep in my heart.

Actually, it is not long since my last visit to Lijiang in 2001. But I missed the town and my friends there so much that I endured the pain of parting from my family and flew there this Spring Festival vacation.



A midday flight took me to Lijiang Airport on Feb 8. On that day, the sky was extremely blue and air was strikingly clear. The sun was shining brightly even in this cold winter. My friend Xiao Li, a beautiful Naxi girl was waiting for me. After a 30-minute drive, we arrived at the entrance of the ancient city. A huge modern fresco and a couple of working water wheels mark the entrance to the historic part of Lijiang. Then my unforgettable journey began.

Lijiang is the only Chinese city listed on UNESCO's World Cultural Heritage list, with a history of at least 800 years, dating back to the Song Dynasty. The criss-crossed water canals and winding narrow streets are the most wonderful sight, which confer upon it the title of "Little Venice of the Orient". The streets are cobbled, bridges are everywhere, and streams seem to run alongside every street with flowers and some trees in bloom year-round on its both edges. All the wooden or stone houses teetering over the narrow canals have graceful pitched traditional rooftops, showing the old China.



I walked the town, again and again, day after day, never getting tired of it. Occasionally, when I observed the minority Naxi women in their traditional dress with babies strapped to their backs, I dreamed of going back into an ancient and idyllic past.

To better understand Lijiang, I think one's visit would hardly be complete without a trip to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.

Lijiang lies on the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, which is 5,596m above sea level. Every day from the centre of the town, I could discern its snow-capped and jagged peaks jutting into the blue sky, creating such picturesque scenery, which totally absorbed my vision.



The mountain is 10 miles from the town and I took a cable car to the tourists' point, which is 4,506m above sea level. At first, I had some trouble breathing due to the altitude. But from my last experience I knew I just had to take it easy and walk slowly. Some travelers were resting, carrying small oxygen bottles because of their breathing problems. Some were walking around and playing in the snow. It seemed like a lot of fun! I just sat silently on the glacier and watched the surrounding plateau, hills and mountains below. The view from up there was incredible! The mountain's 13 stunning peaks are really like a crystal jade dragon dancing in the air!

Looking at the clear blue sky and the clouds just above my head, I couldn't help but think that I had died and gone to heaven.

It was with great regret that so soon my time was up. When Xiao Li escorted me in a car to the entrance gate, I started weeping silently, tears of sadness at leaving a true paradise on earth and tears of joy at having met such kind and innocent people.
