A China Southern cargo aircraft is loaded with quake relief food and emergency supplies bound for Medan, Sumatra, January 2, 2005, in Beijing. The one hundred tonnes of supplies worth RMB 20,000,000 being loaded comes two days after China added 60.5 million dollars to the half billion dollars pledged by the world's rich nations as international aid gathers pace to help the tsunami-hit countries bordering the Indian Ocean. This was the third largest single donation from any country so far till Jan. 2nd.
