Rico, a Border collie who lives with his master in Berlin, Germany, can fetch at least 200 objects by name after just one exposure to the new word-toy combination. His retrieval rate is comparable to the performance of three-year-old toddlers, according to the authors in the June 11 issue of the journal, Science.
