A "Pen Phone" prototype by Siemens is displayed March 16 in Hanover, during the CeBIT 2004 Computer Technology Fair. The Pen Phone is a pen-shaped mobile phone and is able to read handwriting and transform it in SMS. The fair, the largest of its kind in the world, has drawn 6,411 exhibitors from 64 countries displaying the newest gadgets in the world of telecommunications and information technology. The fair runs till March 24.

Members of the local government of La Trinidad town, and of the Department of Tourism proudly present the 11 foot high and 9 foot in diameter giant strawberry cake during the launching of the Strawberry Festival March 20 in La Trinidad, a strawberry-growing town in The Philippines. A total of 170 volunteers worked to bake the 7700 kilos giant strawberry cake in hopes that it will win a place in the Guinness book of world records.
