Gift for Valentine's Day

Flowers
wilt, chocolates vanish, but a CD remains. On
this Valentine’s Day, a CD of Highlights from Cats became my gift of
choice.
Known as the best work of English composer Andrew Lloyd Webber, the
opera Cats has already become a pop-cultural phenomenon. From its debut
in London in 1981, this pop-cultural musical has been performed on
stage for more than 50 million patrons in over 26 countries for almost
18 years, winning numerous awards. Last year, when Cats went to
Shanghai, many people rushed into the Shanghai Grand Theater, in spite
of the risk of getting the dreadful SARs.
Now, Cats has finally come to Xiamen, in the form of a black-covered CD. It covers all the 15 songs in the opera, including the well-known song “Memory”. On a chilly day, nothing could be more comfortable than sitting by your beloved one in your cozy home, enjoying the classic Cats.
