People who come to the Momotaro(桃太郎日本美食广场) for the first time may be surprised by the strange drum beating and the warm greetings in Japanese as they enter the restaurant on Hexiangxi Road. Three drumbeats are a hint for the waiters to welcome customers while the two beats are a symbol to send off customers.

磨碗添乐
It is known that for most people waiting is boring. How can you kill time after the meal has been ordered? Guests at the Momotaro can spend time grinding sesame seeds while they wait. Sesame seed is the first and most important of the five grains(芝麻为五谷之首)used since ancient times. After grinding the seeds, the guests can then add their sesame powder to any dish they have ordered.

纸鹤祈愿
If you want to share your hopes and wishes with others, fold a paper-crane(千纸鹤) to express it. If your friends and you have two or more paper-cranes, tie them together. Quite a lot of clusters of paper-cranes can be seen in the corner known as the lucky corner.

童趣无穷
The playing corner is designed to offer some convenience for customers with children. Parents can have their meal comfortably while their children have fun of their own. There are toys and specially designed games. Parents needn't worry about safety because there is a special waiter responsible for taking care of the children.
