UNICEF has been in China for over 25 years, working for and with children in China. In 2002 alone, UNICEF spent more than US$10 million on health and nutrition, education, child protection, and water and environmental sanitation projects.
What is special about UNICEF cards?
The UNICEF greeting card program has a 50 year history which began when a seven-year old girl in the former Czechoslovakia gave her drawing to UNICEF to say "thank you" for the help she received. Now, UNICEF cards are sold in many countries and provide 10% of UNICEF's total funding.
