David’s Salon 于 1981 年创建,目前在菲律宾已拥有160多家分店。在作为业内先锋20年后的今天,已成为美发界的一个研究中心。

Entering the David's Salon at the SM City Square, you will find that it is not a hairdressing salon, but a special place to enjoy another way of life.

One of its Philippino customers commented that, "David doesn't just cut hair; he is the architect of style." In the Philippines, the mention of the name David’s Salon conjures a lot of positive associations. Two decades after pioneering salon partnerships, David's Salon is now an institution in the hairdressing field.

David's Salon was set up by David Charlton, a hairdressing expert in UK, who came to Manila (马尼拉) in 1978 to manage the Rever Salon in Mandarin Oriental Hotel.

Now with more than 160 branches all over the Philippines, David's Salon continues to make waves in the highly competitive hairstyling industry. David intends to keep expanding the chain while refusing to compromise (妥协) on the excellent service and products David’s Salon has always been known for.

"We're all about making sense, creating a unique style and showing our flair for fashion." In David's opinion, it is extremely difficult for hairdressers to repeat exactly what they have seen, but it is always possible to express some of its spirit in a customer's hairstyle. In Asia, the dramatic trend began not long ago. What is new is that this kind of hairstyle can now be seen everywhere. People are becoming more and more avant-garde (前卫), wanting to express their individuality through their hairstyle.

Most Xiamen locals are not familiar with David's Salon because it is the first branch in China. But Mr. David Charlton is quite confident. "At David's Salon, we provide the A plus service but we charge C plus prices. It works." There are two Philippino hairstylists available for Chinese customers. When asked whether it is inconvenient for customers to communicate through an interpreter, Mr. David Charlton said he considers it worthwhile.

As a leader in the Philippine salon industry, David's Salon has been evolving (逐步发展) and diversifying (多样化). The SM City Square in the Philippines showed great interest in it and has encouraged David's Salon to explore a different market in Xiamen.
