Britain's Turner prize artworks

An employee of Japanese optical maker, Volks, displays plastic disposable sunglasses with a thin miller coating to fit on the face at the annual International Optical Fair Tokyo Oct. 28. Volks have started to sell the glasses for winter sports with a price of 120 yen (1 USD).

People admire ukiyoe like geisha art, made from millions of rose petals on a river-sidewalk in Tokyo, Nov. 2. The flower festival, which recreats the event held in Italy's Genzano city, is expected to attract some 120,000 visitors during the four-day festival.
